Background

The latest in the animated series by Universal Pictures, Revolution360 helped send off Despicable Me 3 with a bang across the streets of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with a multi-platform campaign with a difference.

The challenge

Only through a multimedia, multi-city approach can you take an already giant film franchise and elevate it to the next level. So that’s exactly what we set out to do.

What we did & how we did it

Street Posters
Taking advantage of our vast street poster network, backed by our in depth pedestrian metrics we helped paint the streets yellow for the Australian launch of Despicable Me 3 with over 600 units across the Eastern Seaboard.
Light Projections
Complimenting the street posters installed across Brisbane and Melbourne, Sydney’s central business district also saw a ten-storey tall light projection. On display for three weeks of Fridays and Saturdays, Revolution360 timed the activation to coincide with Vivid Sydney, taking advantage of the influx of pedestrian foot traffic to the annual outdoor lighting festival that brought over 2.3 million people to the CBD in 2017.

What we accomplished

With a weekly reach of over 1.25 million people across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane the street poster campaign alone was a triumph, add to that our light projections impeccably timed for one of Sydney’s busiest tourist events and we will gladly add this campaign as a feather to our hat.
