Background
As a part of the I’M ON campaign by the NSW based agency for HIV prevention, ACON approached Revolution360 with something big in mind.

The challenge
With the goal of ending HIV transmission in New South Wales by 2020, ACON and Revolution360 set out elevate HIV prevention awareness across Sydney and the state.

What we did & how we did it
Working closely with the City of Sydney and Sydney Water in a coordinated, multi-platform campaign, we installed an 18 meter tall bright pink condom in Sydney’s iconic Hyde Park, sheathing the heritage listed obelisk seen in the city’s CBD.

The campaign also saw on-site ambassadors handing out free condoms and health and safety information on the benefits of ‘staying safe’. An integrated approach was taken combining outdoor, print and social media. Handing out thousands of inflatable rings, we turned Bondi Beach pink, all in the name of raising awareness of HIV prevention.

What we accomplished
Setting out to make positive change for the gay community in NSW, we made headlines in over 40 countries and reached 10 million people on social media. Raising awareness in Sydney by 89%, the campaign was a resounding success and a win for ACON and the fight against HIV transmission.
